Oslo in winter is mostly a study of contrasts. The brilliant white, the modern (but interesting) architecture, the flashes of light on the harbor water and glass of the buildings. It’s energizing and bold. And then comes the unexpected pastel light at dusk. Where the rosy hues emerge to warm and soften it all. It’s hard to define the color. Lavender, blues, mauve all dancing. This photograph was created in camera using alternative camera techniques such as multiple exposure and ICM (intentional camera movement) in the abstract impressionist style.
